The Gospel Music Writer is dedicated to promote the writer's musical work. Its main goal is to be an added value showroom for writer or artist members. Through free membership in GMW, you will be able to confront your talent with other members by submitting your music work online.

All rights on your music work remain entirely yours. You may at any time modify or delete any information on your pieces of work that have been uploaded to our servers. It is a service from us to you and not the opposite. We deem it our duty to guarantee security of your online work through a technological protection system using an inserted audio track. However, this device does not replace the legal steps you should undertake to protect your work. We strongly encourage you to secure legal protection for your work before uploading. We are a service to add value to your efforts and any hindrance to this would be out of sense. Thus, we will request from you no commitment other than the requirements set by the law.

For your promotion with our partners we will leave you the choice of the best opportunities and not serve as a middle-man. No action will be undertaken for you without your full consent in the respect of the information and work you have uploaded to our site.

After thoughtful planning, we have concluded that our members must have the privilege of promoting their online music works by their own action.

We are thus making a number of tools available to you to facilitate your choice. You will easily be able to group your favorite titles in a wish list and to use this wish list to vote without hassles.

We have chosen not to set up a jury committee to assess and select the best compositions. In a spirit of fairness, we leave the selecting of the best compositions to all the members.

Promoting a music work is voting on a choice of the best works. The website offers a unique means to promote the best works: you! Through your membership, you become part of the grand jury who will decide which are the best compositions. Nobody but you will choose the best titles. The rating of the best works will be granted by the majority vote of all members.

Every year, GMW will hold four voting sessions, one per quarter. During each session, you will be free to choose which works you wish to rate. You may modify your wish list the way you want: remove a work, cast a vote, modify or delete a vote. The wish list also indicates the time remaining before final submission of your vote. Once the session reaches its term, GMW will empty your entire wish list and make it free for your selection in the next session.

The deal is simple: the more votes, the best promotion online works will get. Subsequently, GMW does not use an internal jury to give ratings. All members are responsible for the quality of ratings.

A member is not forced to cast one or more votes at each session. He will not be excluded even if he hasn't voted. However, a member who has not voted cannot be guaranteed to have his work listed for rating at the next session. The rule is therefore simple: a member who does not vote at a session cannot list his work for rating at the following session.

It is to be noted that a member cannot vote for his own online work. He can cast votes for any work of which he is not the owner. These different rules ensure fair quality ratings and satisfactory operation of the services offered through the website.

Be assured that the more writers register on the website, the more credibility your work will gain if granted a Best Writing Award. The registered writer members have all power of decision. The GMW team does not influence your selection and has no part in the percentage of votes.

Three opportunities in one year to have your work compete with that of other writers. The original part is you are at the heart of the decision process. You rate the best works yourself through your vote. You are your own jury.

By choosing to become a member, and thus to be able to submit your work to the jury, you will also take at heart your own rôle as a member of the jury. To have your work rated online, you are also due to vote for at least one other work in any category.
